At a critical juncture in the global textile supply chain's restructuring, Donglong Group, an export-oriented corporation specializing in home textile and apparel, is responding to the core question of the industry with its unceasing production lines: How can Chinese textile exporters maintain their core business when faced with the dual impact of tariff barriers and the wave of supply chain shifts?

The Philosophy of Survival in Order Fluctuations
“Compared with the same period last year, the volume of foreign trade orders of Donglong Group has remained basically stable this year, without significant fluctuations”, the company's foreign trade director told the reporter. In the external environment of tariffs, green barriers, exchange rate fluctuations and global consumption downgrading, the global supply c hain is being restructured, and foreign trade orders inevitably flow or shift to regions such as Southeast Asia. Facing the dual challenges of intensified external competition and internal transformation and upgrading, Donglong's order resilience comes from the "defense works" of the entire industrial chain: from down raw material processing, synthetic fiber wadding production, fabric printing and dyeing to finished product manufacturing, all have achieved an independent production model; 15 smart ODM factories at home and abroad, in combination with professional technical teams, ensure efficient production and excellent quality; a strong independent research and development team and design team continuously empower the value of international brands.

This resilience is particularly evident during fluctuations in tariff policies. When tariffs between China and the United States fluctuated, the foreign trade staff of Donglong stated that their orders were not significantly affected. "To avoid trade barriers and tariffs, on the basis of building factories in Yangon and Bago, Pathein, we have successively invested in and built two new factories in Indonesia since 2023. The impact of tariffs has been mitigated through regionalized production." The layout in Indonesia has brought multiple advantages to Donglong: abundant and low-cost labor resources; a favorable business environment that gives it an inherent advantage in developing markets in the United States, Europe, and Japan; and a superior geographical location that enables the company to more flexibly allocate resources and shorten supply chain response times. "Judging from the current revenue and profit situation, our strategy and approach to expanding overseas layout are in line with the development trend and show a continuous positive trend."
Exclusive Research & Development Opens the Door to the Japanese Market.
In Donglong's research and development center, a seemingly ordinary white wadding became the key to breaking through the market. "This is our independently developed ELASTIC FIBER® wadding series, which has now successfully entered the Japanese market," explained the head of R&D team as she picked up a sample. This material not only has a latex-like elastic touch but also has achieved technological breakthroughs in safety and environmental protection, foldability, and no deformation after washing. Today, this material is used in the high-end product line of a Japanese home furnishing giant, reflecting the transformation of Donglong from "manufacturing" to "technology export".

This transformation is reflected in the product details. Over the years, Donglong has continuously focused on comfort and sleep health, actively participating in the formulation of multiple standards for the comfort of household products, and developed a series of comfortable clothing and sleep health products. In the exhibition hall of Donglong's GEPHRAN® series products, the CLEAN antibacterial fabric, COOL cooling fabric, and WARM heat-retaining fabric are displayed according to different seasonal scenarios - in clothing design, simplicity, lightness, functionality and practicality are highlighted; in home textile applications, it comprehensively creates home products for comfortable, healthy and clean sleep, meeting the needs of different customers.
The "Non-standard Answer" of Textile Industry's Going Global
In terms of this global challenge, Donglong Group's response is quite enlightening: while the industry is debating "whether to go global", Donglong is already considering "how to take root"; when neighbors are struggling with cost advantages, Donglong is redefining the technical threshold of the foreign trade market with new materials and new technologies. Just as Donglong has been practicing for many years, today's textile export is no longer simply about capacity transfer, but about marking out its own value coordinates on the global map.
